Gerard (Des) O'Connor - 23rd September 2023.


O’CONNOR (Shankill, Co. Dublin and formerly of Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock) – September 23rd 2023 (peacefully) at home in the loving care of his devoted daughter Hazel and son-in-law Jim. Gerard (Des) in his 92nd year following a illness borne with great courage, strength and bravery; dearly beloved husband of the late Catherine (Edna), much loved father of Paul, Mark and Hazel. Predeceased by his brother John and sister Una. Sadly missed by his heart broken sons, daughter, son-in-law Jim, daughters-in-law Mairead and Nicola, grandchildren Eamon, Nadine, Lauryn, Aoife, JJ and Jade, great-grandchildren Ella, Jacob and Danny, brother Peter (P), sister Imelda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin A96 PW73 on Tuesday (Sept 26th) from 5pm until 7pm`. Removal on Wednesday (Sept 27th) to St. Anne’s Church, Shankill arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Deans Grange Cemetery.
