James Patrick (Jim) (late Harbour Master Dun Laoghaire); dearly beloved husband and best friend of Anne, much loved father of Elaine and Stephen and devoted granddad to Shauna, Liam, Aoife and Isla. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, son, daughter-in-law Ciara, son-in-law Craig, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends. Served under him in the harbour police, and remember the years fondly, had a hand in assisting him, when he saved a colleague s 'life by, his immediate response to save the man from drowning, who had fallen into, the inner harbour! I wrote the report then and i say it again now, it was an act of great courage, as our colleague was being pulled near the engines of a large " meat" ship that was about to exit the harbour, i salute your honour Sir, and bravery, to put you own life in danger! may you R.I.P. i wonder where my initial report lies carrying dust now
